FAQ
Questions, answered
- Where do these numbers come from?
- Each row was read from the platform's own help center, creator page or ads manager and links to that page, with the date we checked it. We do not use third party blog posts.
- Why are some platforms missing numbers?
- If a spec could not be confirmed on an official page we fetched, we left it out rather than guess. Instagram feed and X video have no rows yet, and TikTok shows ad specs only.
- Is 9:16 the right aspect ratio everywhere?
- Not always. YouTube Shorts accepts square or vertical, Facebook Reels accepts vertical or horizontal, LinkedIn accepts from 1:2.4 to 2.4:1, and TikTok recommends 9:16 for ads.
- How long can a video be on each platform?
- YouTube Shorts and Instagram Reels allow up to 3 minutes, LinkedIn up to 15 minutes, TikTok ads up to 10 minutes, and Facebook Reels has no stated maximum. Open a row to see its source.
- How often are the specs checked?
- The last check was on October 29, 2026. Platforms change limits without notice, so the source link on each row is the one to trust.
- Does Raytake export to these sizes?
- Raytake makes short social videos on your Mac through chat. Check the source on each row for the platform's current limits before you publish.
Make the video,
not the spreadsheet
Raytake is a Mac app that makes short social videos through chat. It shows every model price before it runs and stops at the spending cap you set per video.
